How to Pack Your Skincare Travel Bag

Let’s wrap up my Summer Skincare 2021 Series with probably the most helpful of them all: how to pack your skincare travel bag! Your skin is definitely prone to changing when going to a new climate, eating different foods and adjusting to a new sleep schedule on your fun vacation. You don’t want to forget your trusty skincare faves! So, follow along below to learn how to pack your travel skincare and the travel skincare essentials you absolutely can’t skip on!

Get Travel Kits or Stick With Full Size?

I love getting my skincare in mini size because, well, it’s cute!! But, it can be difficult to find all of your current products in travel size and can also run you quite a bit of money to repurchase in smaller sizes. So, I don’t buy every single product in my collection in a travel size. I also don’t recommend getting a whole new routine just because it comes in a cute travel kit (even though this always tempts me) because you can risk irritating your skin on vacation with a bunch of new products/ingredients.

Here are some products that I almost always buy in travel size:

• Cleansing Balm or Oil
• Cleanser
• Sunscreen (for my day time bag to reapply)

If you typically use a lot of products from one brand, then you can more easily find a travel kit with all your faves in it. If you are like me and use a lot of brands, then it can be hard! You can also opt to put your current products in travel containers to be TSA friendly if you need to pack everything in your carry-on.

If your products are especially big, prone to leaking or made of glass you might just want to transfer them to a trusty travel container.
