Natural Skincare Brand Review: Wicked Soaps Co.

I dabble in trying all kinds of skincare and beauty brands. I have always been someone who loves my potent skincare, but there is something so enjoyable about being able to read and understand every ingredient on the back of the package. Natural skincare is loved by so many, yet it can be difficult to find a brand that is truly clean and not charging triple the price for it. Instagram is one of the best places to seek out artisan and organic skincare brands! I discovered Wicked Soaps co. and loved their simplistic, fresh design. Even more than that, the ingredients they use in their products truly stood out. I have been using 4 of their products for over a week, and want to share my thoughts on everything.

These products are all hand-crafted!

Wicked Soaps… is it worth checking out? Spoiler alert: yes yes yes!

Calm Facial Mask

Key ingredients:

  • White Kaolin- removes impurities from even the most sensitive skin
  • Marshmallow Root- Soothes and protects skin with anti-inflammatory Properties
  • Coconut Milk- Provides vitamins and minerals to the skin to aid in hydration and elasticity

Consistency:

This mask comes in powder form that you can allows you to create a paste with a little bit of water. It also says you can use honey or milk! I have used this 3 times using water only. I enjoyed mixing it myself, it was easy to do and kind of fun to get my desired thickness. It had an earthy smell and felt cooling on the skin. It did begin to harden, but didn’t feel too tight.

I would definitely recommend this to people of all skin types!

My skin was bright and very soft after using this. I also had my husband try this, and he enjoyed how it felt. It left his skin less red as well. I enjoyed using a natural face mask option.

Balance Hydrating Facial Mist

2 fl oz, $18

I love a multi use facial mist. This can be used to tone after cleansing, or refresh the skin throughout the day. It also says you can use this to set makeup!

Key Ingredients:

  • Blood Orange- antibacterial and astringent properties that help balance oil production and stimulate circulation
  • Turmeric- antioxidant effects that help brighten dull skin as well as work as anti-inflammatory
  • Elderberry Extract- packed with vitamins to firm and tone the skin as well as even the complexion.

Consistency:

The mist is very light and refreshing. It does not leave any heavy droplets on the skin which is super important if you were to use this to set your makeup!

I am in love with the ingredients of this mist. It is important to note that just adding this mist to your routine may not solve all your skincare concerns, however it is a fabulous supplemental product.

Moon Cream

Key Ingredients:

  • Hyaluronic Acid- provides 1000x its weight in water to hydrate and retain moisture
  • Blue Tansy- reduces inflammation and improves signs of irritation
  • Blue Yarrow- supports healing of the skin and works with the blue tansy to calm
  • Moringa Oil- antioxidant and anti aging properties

Consistency:

This is a pretty thick cream that takes a minute to sink in. However once it is absorbed you are left with no greasy residue! This cream has a strong blue tint that goes away once rubbed in. The odor of this cream is rather strong, very natural and earthy. It is a bit strong to my liking, but after a few minutes I do not smell it anymore. With natural products, it is common to have stronger odors as they do not have chemicals that work to mask it!

Green Cleansing Oil Facial Serum

Of all the products I received, this one was the most exciting. I am addicted to my Herbivore Botanicals Emerald Glow oil, and thought, could this be a dupe?!

Key Ingredients:

  • Matcha Green Tea- powerful vitamin that combats signs of aging and improves firmness
  • Hemp Seed Oil- moisturizing and rich in vitamin E to balance the skin and soothe
  • Spearmint Essential Oil- cooling and invigorating while keeping pores clean

Consistency:

Ultra moisturizing but does not feel too heavy or clog pores! This oil is marketed to use for cleansing, but I personally only used it as an oil serum as my last step in my skincare routine.

I have been using this oil instead of my super pricey Herbivore oil that is my holy grail for the past week. The conclusion that I have made is that it is absolutely a potential dupe. It has amazing ingredients and leaves my skin so moisturized and plump. It does not have all of the ingredients that the herbivore one has, but I noticed it does have similar effects on my skin.

Check out my blog on the entire Herbivore brand!

Overall, Wicked Soaps is a brand worth trying

They offer more than just facial skincare, too! This includes body soaps, candles, shaving products, perfume and deodorant. They also offer a monthly subscription box that allows you to try several products from different lines that you can receive once or on a schedule.

I will definitely be replacing some of my current products with these clean and natural options instead. What are your thoughts on these products? Which ones are you dying to try? Comment below!
