Nothing else compares to that bittersweet moment of finally finishing your beloved skincare serum. Yes, it was amazing and you will miss it BUT now you get to open the back-up on the shelf you purchased 2 months ago?! Let’s go through all of my May empties and quick reviews.

Body and Personal Care

Amika Perk up Talc-Free Dry Shampoo, $28

I have gone through countless cans of this dry shampoo. It works amazingly well, and it smells so good! It has the signature Amika scent that (if you haven’t yet smelled-vanilla, clover and citrus) lasts all day. I already repurchased this and opted for the jumbo size.

I Am Proud Sleep Hero Overnight Recovery Body Mask, $12.97

The brand was kind enough to send a PR package over to me and I cracked into this bad boy immediately. When it comes to body care, I consider myself an expert. The texture of this is super unique and feels like a refreshing gel! It has retinol to also smooth the skin overnight. The only complaint I have is the fragrance which is a Garden and Musk that my nose just doesn’t particularly enjoy.

Tree Hut Birthday Cake Sugar Body Scrub, $7.99

It’s a classic Tree Hut scrub with a twist- birthday cake scent! I think this one is really pretty with the multicolor beads. I do wish it smelled even stronger though- it isn’t quite cake enough.

Necessaire Hand Cream, $20

I have yet to try a Necessaire product that I don’t enjoy! This hand cream is no different, with a rich texture that sinks in wonderfully. I love that it is fragrance free and doesn’t feel oily so I can apply it throughout the day as I work. I also love the packaging!

Glossier Balm Dot Com in Coconut, $14

I bought a four pack of the Glossier Balms last year and have been making my way through them recently. This is the OG formula and I absolutely love how it applies to my lips. Unfortunately, this barely had any coconut taste to it.

Glossier did reformulate their balms a few months ago and I have yet to try. The new tubes have a applicator on the end and still come in all the classic flavors. The reviews so far are not very good though which makes me think they did not change the formula for the better.

The Saem Eco Soul Lip Oil, $7

I picked this up a while ago from yesstyle on a whim and am really glad I did! The formula is very similar to my beloved Dior, and lasts quite a while for a hydrating oil formula. They have 3 shades: Honey, Berry and Grapefruit to choose from. Did you see the price?! You can’t beat it.

Colourpop Party Proof Long-Wearing Eye Primer, $10

Even after reading all the negative reviews for this one, I still decided to give it a shot because of the price. I quickly learned why I never stray from my luxury eye primers because they work so much better! This one honestly just did not make my eyeshadow last any longer and I still noticed smudges and smearing.

E.L.F. Dewy Coconut Setting Mist, $10

I love a good refreshing setting spray even when I’m not wearing a lot of makeup. This smells super beachy and makes my skin look extra glowy and fresh! It is absolutely perfect for Summer time.

Skincare Empties

Colleen Rothschild Face Oil Number 9, $85

I received a wonderful PR package from Colleen Rothschild and it included this luxury face oil. I was so happy to see this had a pump because most oils come in a dropper which can be messy. It is not an exaggeration when I say that this is the BEST facial oil I have ever used. It made my skin so soft and smooth. I reached for it at the end of my routine every single night!

Bubble Slam Dunk Hydrating Moisturizer, $16

TikTok has made the Drunk Elephant moisturizers go viral solely because of the pump packaging. I’m here to say, save $50 and get this one instead!!! It feels really nice and creamy, and would definitely work for all skin types (even acne prone)! It lasted me a long time too. *sent in PR

I am shocked at how many products I finished up! I noticed that I have been using so many lip oils recently I wouldn’t be surprised if I finished another this month. Here’s to another month of using what I have on my shelf.
