We have all been on Tik Tok by now, right? Absorbed for hours by the endless funny and entertaining videos. I was never a huge fan of the short video clips thing (never watched Vine), but it has now been one of my most used apps. Skincare is a huge trend on Tik Tok, causing brands to rapidly sell out of products after videos go viral. So, let me do the work for you and rate these viral Tik Tok skincare products and tell you if they are worth buying or just over hyped.
The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
First up, is this chemical peel by The Ordinary. This has truly been seen all over Tik Tok and YouTube for the past month. Partly because it is from The Ordinary, an affordable skincare brand touted with potent ingredients to resolve many skin issues. But also due to the shock factor of It looking like blood on your face when you use it. This product may be cheap, but will it actually work to help your skin?
Honestly, this peel is amazing. There is a big BUT to that though. It is really not a product for beginners. Being 30% AHA makes this very strong and potent. So if you are not careful, you could actually do a lot of harm to your skin. The Ordinary Peeling Solution uses very strong chemical exfoliants in order to clear the pores and reduce excess skin and sebum buildup. Can this help with acne? Absolutely! You all know my love chemical exfoliants. However… be sure to read the instructions on this product. DO NOT use more than twice a week. Also, if you are not using a SPF when using this product, you will regret it. This causes your skin to be even more sensitive to the sun than usual and you will get some serious sun damage without proper sun protection.
CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion
I have recommended CeraVe before on previous blog posts, being that it is a great and affordable option for your daily moisturizer. This cream has niacinamide and hyaluronic acid to ensure the skin is properly hydrated and can function its best! I would use this at night, and an SPF in the morning. If you are hunting for a new night cream, you can look at my other options based on your zodiac sign.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray
These sprays smell good and look super cute on your vanity but…
They are just no good! I am a huge lover of facial mists. But, I always look for those that have useful ingredients that can make my other skincare products work even better. These sprays have fragrance, propylene glycol, and dyes that are no good for the skin. I would recommend checking out facial sprays that have natural ingredients without the fillers. I like the Balancing Face Mist by Wicked Soaps.
Aztec Clay Mask
This mask has been everywhere for several years. A super affordable, deep pore mask? Most people are on board with that.
The only ingredient is 100% bentonite clay, used in many mud masks to absorb excess sebum and oil. The directions tell you to mix with apple cider vinegar or water. My professional opinion is that this mask is great for specific people. As with any skincare, it is not one size fits all. This is a strong mask that could be very drying and irritating to those with dehydrated, dry, or sensitive skin. I would only use this if you have excessively oily and acne prone skin. Definitely only use once per week and be sure to not over exfoliate! Absolutely do not use this and The Ordinary Peeling Solution. Choose one or the other as a weekly mask treatment.

Drunk Elephant Products
Lastly, Drunk Elephant is another brand that is very popular on the Tik Tok skincare trend. Definitely because of the gorgeous and aesthetically pleasing packaging. I have been a long time buyer and lover of Drunk Elephant. If you want to know which products are worth your money, check out my other post where I give a breakdown of each product!
Hopefully I helped you to either save your money or up your skincare routine with some of these viral Tik Tok products. Since everyone experiences different skin types and conditions, don’t be tricked into buying everything someone recommends. Be sure to get opinions from a professional and do your research before testing out any new products.

I use drunk elephant but am definitely willing to try Cerave! Great post as always!
